The Honiara City Council wishes to advise the general public, vendors, and residents of Honiara that Honiara Central Market will be closed for normal business on Thursday 2nd May 2024.
“Acting on advice from the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) based on their security risk assessments, my office has proceeded to close the Honiara Central Market including the fish market, and lock up shops on Thursday 2nd May 2024,” said the City Clerk, Justus Denni.
The City Clerk said the Council further advises residents and vendors to get their root crops, vegetables, and fruits from Kukum Market as it will remain open tomorrow Thursday 2nd of May 2024.
