The donation includes essential tools aimed at improving the cleanliness and environmental hygiene of the city.
The contribution package comprises 100 wheely bins, 2000 plastic bags, 80 garden cracks, and 144 pairs of hand gloves.
These items are expected to enhance the efficiency of waste collection and disposal and aid in maintaining public spaces such as parks and streets.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, HCC Deputy Clerk Jefferson Patovaki on behalf of the Honiara City Council expressed gratitude for the CAUSE Project, noting that the council has been grabbing with waste management challenges due to limited resources.
“This donation will go a long way in improving our capacity to maintain a clean and healthy environment for the residents of Honiara,” he said.
