Honiara City Council (HCC) Chairman of Planning Division, Councilor (Cr) Charles Cheka Auwosuga, extended his gratitude on behalf of the HCC to the Pacific Technical Advisory team from New Zealand for facilitating a two-day workshop from the 14th to 15th of August 2024 at the King Solomon Hotel conference room in Honiara.
The training aimed to enhance the capacity of Government Planning officials and private building contractors.
The workshop focused on developing and implementing a standard building structure within the city boundaries, ensuring safety, sustainability, and compliance with the required city standard infrastructure development.
Cr. Auwosuga emphasized the importance of such initiatives in promoting orderly urban development and improving the quality of infrastructure development in Honiara.
The workshop is crucial to achieving a more resilient and well-planned city said Chairman for HCC Planning Division.
