May 26, 2016 – Honiara, Solomon Islands – Honiara City Council through it’s sports division have assisted Honiara sports Associations with sporting gears.
This is for their preparations towards the upcoming Solomon Games.
HCC sports development officer Victor Wai’ia said that it is part of HCC’s contribution towards every team who will be representing Honiara City.
“All the sporting gears are for all respective sports associations who will be representing team Honiara and we are so pleased to assist them.
“So far we have several associations who have given their final lists and it is important that their preparations in terms of trainings are well underway,” he added.
Wai’ia further appeal to those associations who have not submitted their final lists to do so by next week to formalize all preparation arrangements.
Meanwhile Head of Division for sports Rolland Pauku urged all sports associations to take good care of the equipments and wish them well in their preparations.
At the same Pauku thanked the HCC’s management for providing the funds and to support team Honiara’s preparations for the upcoming Solomon Games.
